The Civic Tourer is a practical and comfortable family estate vehicle, with smooth and responsive handling and a huge amount of storage space.
The vehicle looks sleek and streamlined from the outside, with a Shark Fin antenna and black roof rails fitted as standard. The powerful halogen headlights help the driver see through even the most challenging conditions, and the on/off timer ensures that they are never left on accidentally overnight. The Tourer also has LED daytime running lights, which remain on throughout the day to increase the visibility of the car to other road users.
The interior of the Civic Tourer is spacious, with a 624-litre boot that can extend to 1,668 litres with the rear seats folded forward. The steering wheel has tilt and telescopic adjustment to make the driving experience as comfortable as possible. Small touches like the climate-controlled air conditioning and one-touch power windows also help to make it a pleasant car to use and drive on a daily basis.
Honda’s hugely popular trademark Magic Seats help to provide a great deal of storage room in the car, making it an adaptable and practical vehicle.
The 1.6-litre standard diesel engine helps the car accelerate from 0-60mph in around 10.3 seconds, with a maximum speed of 121mph. Electric power assisted steering means that the car responds to the lightest touch and the driving experience is easy and strain-free. In a combined cycle the Civic Tourer can reach 74.3 miles to the gallon and achieve CO2 emissions of 99g/km.
Like all of Honda’s vehicles, the Civic Tourer comes with a wide range of safety features as standard. An Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) system is included as standard, which adapts the braking force on each wheel according to what is required. There is also an emergency stop signal, which flashes the brake lights and turns on the hazard lights if the driver brakes suddenly at high speeds.
For driving in urban areas there is Hill-Start Assist, which prevents the car from rolling backwards and hitting the car behind at a junction. The City-Brake Active System detects obstacles in front of the vehicle and applies the brakes if impact appears imminent.
The audio system of the Civic Tourer is Bluetooth compatible, with steering wheel remote audio controls to help reduce distraction to the driver while on the move. There are four speakers and a USB port/aux jack to play from multiple devices.
