A multi-function leather steering wheel puts control directly at your fingertips, while the 12.3-inch full colour digital instrument cluster displays crisp data and navigation. Meanwhile, tri-zone electronic climate control ensures you stay comfortable whatever the weather, and generous space means passengers of all heights can stretch out and relax.
The 2.0-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engine options both offer a choice of two outputs, and come with seven-speed S tronic transmission for seamless acceleration. You’ll have the additional option of Audi’s quattro system for all-wheel drive capability. Whichever engine you choose, you’ll find economy impressive, with the cleanest option emitting just 127g/km of CO2 and returning up to 57.6mpg on the combined cycle. Hop into the driver’s seat and the Audi A5 will have you smiling through every turn thanks to responsive handling and tight body control.
You’d expect a high level of technology and safety kit from a luxury model such as the A5, and it more than delivers. Every variant comes equipped with the MMI infotainment system, which incorporates Bluetooth and enables you to link your smartphone to the car via Apple Carplay or Android Auto. Cruise control is also standard, as are xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights.
Safety certainly doesn’t play second fiddle to performance, with the A5’s exciting drive supported by a cruise control with speed limiter, hill hold assist and Automatic Emergency Braking.
