Motability Scheme

Approved Motability Dealer in Surrey & West Sussex

The Motability Scheme is a charitable initiative that helps motorists in receipt of a higher rate mobility allowance (such as the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment or the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance) gain access to a vehicle which is ideally suited to their requirements. If you receive a government mobility allowance, you are probably entitled to a car through the Scheme. The Scheme allows you to swap your mobility supplement for a car. The monthly lease covers everything you need for worry-free motoring, including insurance, servicing, breakdown cover and Vehicle Excise Duty.

How it works Access to the Motability scheme gives you (or nominated drivers) the right to put some or all of your state aid toward the cost of a three-year lease on a car of your choice. The monthly cost of these agreements also include a range of other services, including comprehensive insurance from RSA Mobility, breakdown assistance, servicing and repairs for all components (including tyres and windscreens), and Vehicle Excise Duty. Support with your EV We’ll arrange and cover the cost of a home chargepoint and a standard installation, or give you access to the bp pulse network of over 9,000 public chargepoints. This depends on a few things.
Am I eligible? In order to take advantage of the scheme, you should be in receipt of one of the following mobility allowances, with a minimum of 12 months’ award remaining: 1) Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) 2) Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) 3) War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS) 4) Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) Parents and carers of those in receipt of any of these benefits will be able to claim on their behalf. Adaptations When you choose your Motability vehicle, you can specify adaptations that will make it easier for you to access, drive and load bulky items.
