Is it time to book your vehicle’s MOT?
Cars that are three years old and over are legally required to have a valid MOT certificate to confirm they are roadworthy and safe.
If you’re based in Surrey or Greater London and your vehicle’s annual MOT test is due, visit our Drift Bridge facility in Epsom. Our state-of-the-art workshop is staffed by trained technicians who use the latest diagnostic equipment to carry out all the necessary checks and advise on any actions that need to be taken. Should your car need a repair in order to pass its MOT, we’ll use only genuine parts and obtain your permission before proceeding.
A wide range of components is checked during the MOT, including all lights and reflectors, the horn, battery, electrical wiring, brakes, steering and suspension, seat belts and tyres. A general inspection of the bodywork is also carried out, as well as tests on the exhaust system and emissions levels.
As of May 2018, there are three categories of fault that determine a pass or fail:
A dangerous fault results in a fail and is one that poses an immediate safety or environmental risk. The vehicle cannot be driven until the fault is repaired.
A major fault results in a fail and is one that may affect the safety of the vehicle or that of other road users. An immediate repair is needed before the vehicle can be driven.
A minor fault results in a pass and poses no significant risk to safety or the environment. The fault should be repaired as soon as possible, but the vehicle can be driven in the meantime.

Simply pre-book either of these services when you contact us to arrange the test.
All work we carry out on your vehicle during its MOT will be guaranteed for a year for your peace of mind. If the MOT is performed up to one month in advance of the annual renewal date, this date is retained.
While we offer reminders for customers who request them, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure your car’s MOT is arranged each year. Without a valid certificate you will be unable to legally drive the vehicle, and any insurance claims you wish to make could be affected.
