Performance & Engines The CR-V Hybrid has an intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) system which controls a 2.0-litre Atkinson Cycle petrol engine. This works with two electric motors – one propulsion and one generator motor – to provide three driving modes: Electric Drive, Hybrid Drive and Engine Drive. Alongside the three drive modes, Honda has provided technology that delivers two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options for maximum adaptability on the road.

The sheer brilliance of Honda’s engineering is on full display when the i-MMD Hybrid powertrain switches seamlessly from low speed electric power to petrol power at higher cruising speeds.
