Not just two new electric cars. More the arrival of a new era. The Audi e-tron GT quattro and Audi RS e-tron GT: charging electric car efficiency with the legendary performance and aesthetics of Audi Sport for the first time. Scheduled to arrive in the UK this spring, here’s where you can get a first detailed look now.
The first fully electric sportscars from Audi are designed to perform. With an output of up to 530PS with launch control activated, the e-tron GT quattro launches from 0-62mph in 4.1 seconds; the 646PS RS e-tron GT achieves it in a staggering 3.3. With separate motors driving each axle, power is evenly distributed. And with adaptive air suspension, rear wheel steering, sports differential and electronic torque vectoring all as standard on the RS e-tron GT, handling is as exhilarating as accelerating.
With extraordinary power comes extraordinary range. The RS e-tron GT can travel up to 283 miles¹ on a single charge; the e-tron GT quattro can go even further at up to 296 miles¹. And when it’s time to recharge, both cars have a 270kW high power charging capacity, which is even faster than our current e-tron and e-tron Sportback models at 150 kW, enabling a recharge of 5-80% in just 22.5 minutes.²
Streamlined, wide and low, the first electric models in the Audi Sport range have a powerful presence. Largely assembled by hand. Audi craftsmanship is in-built. From single-frame honeycomb grille to tapering roofline - and accentuated by the details of the Black styling pack on the RS e-tron GT - the look is unmistakably Audi.
Sound, as well as sheer power, distinguishes an Audi Sport model. And that goes for the e-tron GT quattro and RS e-tron GT. Designed to give the silent electric motors an audible presence, Audi engineers have given the cars a thrilling signature sound. Standard on the RS e-tron GT and optional on the e-tron GT quattro, the tone is adjustable in intensity via the Audi drive select system.
When it comes to on-board technology, the e-tron GT quattro and RS e-tron GT have the kind of advanced equipment you’d expect at the top of the Audi Sport range. Pre-sense technology, that detects collision hazards, comes as standard. And an array of features, such as Adaptive cruise control, a 360° camera and Remote parking pilot³ are available as optional upgrades.
